Course Schedule

Module 1 - Foundation
  • Day 1 –
    • Lectures highlighting the basics of implantology with demonstrations and hands on exercise
    • Topics covered – Introduction to implantology , Bone and osseointegration , Implant Design and surface  , Anatomical aspects of implantology , Treatment planning , Radiographic Assessment (CBCT)
    • Hands-on – CBCT Evaluation.
  • Day 2 –
    • Lectures about surgical aspects of Implantology with demonstration and hands on exercise
    • Topics covered – Surgical principles and flap design , Suturing Techniques and materials, Sterlization , surgical armamentarium , Protocols of implant surgery
    • Demonstration – Suturing Techniques , Implant Placement by mentor on model
    • Hands – on – Placement of implants by Participants on model
Module 2 – Surgical Module
  • Day 3 –
    • Clinical case discussion using radiographs and casts.
    • Demonstration – Dental Implant Surgery by Mentor
    • Hands on – Dental Implant surgery by Participants
Module 3 – Prosthetic Module
  • Day 4 –
    • Lecture topic – Implant loading protocol , Impression Materials and procedures , Basic Occlusal concept for Implantology , implant supported overdentures , controversies in Implantology
    • Demonstration – live second stage surgery by mentor
    • Hands – on – Second Stage Surgery by participants
  • Day 5 –
    • Lecture Topic – Implants in Esthetic Zone , Fixed Solutions for edentulous arches, Hard Tissue Augmentation , Soft Tissue Augmentation.
    • Demonstration – Impression procedure on Patient by Mentor
    • Hands – on – Impression procedure on Patient by Participants.
  • Day 6 – 
    • Lecture Topic- Use of growth factors and blood derivatives in implantology , Introduction to sinus lift procedure (lateral and Crestal approach)
    • Demonstration –Crown Fixation on patient by Mentor (Screw retained / Cement retained)
    • Hands on – Crown Fixation By Participants.
Certification
At the end of all modules after evaluation, all candidates will get Certificate from VivodentIndia Dental Academy and Trudent Dental Academy affiliated by ICOI USA.
Icoi Fellowship
  • Fellowship fee (other than academy fee) will be paid by candidates to ICOI, USA at the time of application processing.
  • Academy will guide and support for the rigorous documentation, fulfilling the stringent criteria and successful application processing for ICOI Fellowship
  • Fellowship will be awarded by ICOI credential committee in the event organised at the International Conference after fulfilling the criteria of ICOI fellowship
